What legacy do you hope to leave this year? What would you like people to think of when your name comes to mind? This year, during your life, as well as when you’ve left this world. What imprint do you want to make?

Late one night in 2018, I listened to a podcast and the host asked that question. It got me to thinking. I had no answer. The idea of legacy interested me, but I was too tired and drifted off to sleep. An hour later I woke up with a phrase on my mind: She inspired others to reach beyond what they ever thought possible. I got out of bed and wrote it down. I kept it close to me. I later made that the banner across my website.

It’s a work in progress. I’m not there yet, but last year I was inspired by the words myself! I had approached a few goals that felt daunting and beyond my reach. I didn’t think I could do them. Then I saw that statement on my website and laughed. “I guess I better apply it to myself!” I reached high and far. I’m still reaching and with every little gain, I go farther. My intent for 2023 is to reach really, really far.
