The Camino Day 12 – Azofra

After some internal conflict and debate, I decide to take the bus again. Today I’ll ride 18 miles to Najera. What a beautiful, glorious ride! I’m on a modern commercial bus with comfortable seats and air conditioning. I know I’ve really scored today as I look out the window across the hot, dry plain. I appreciate that I’m not in that heat. And more than that, I appreciate that 1970s Spanish music is blaring on the sound system. Sin Ti by Los Panchos, Esta Triste Guitarra by Emmanuel, and more. This is the soundtrack to my days in Guadalajara. I’m moved to tears, this time for joy as I’m transported back to 1978 when I lived in my beloved Mexico.

After arriving in Najera, I continue on by foot 3.5 miles to Azofra.
