That Could Have Been Me.
Have you ever read about someone’s success with an invention or an idea that you thought of years ago? Thousands of ideas are swirling in the air, floating in the universe, waiting to be brought into existence. They need someone to see them and believe they’re possible. They need someone to take action, to wrestle through self-doubt and overcome challenges to say yes. Too often we move no further than seeing an idea. Then when someone else does something with it, we’re left thinking that could have been me.
I’ve been there. I’ve had a few ideas I hesitated on, doubted, and let sit, only to then find someone else got the same idea and ran with it, leaving me to feel that could have been me. Now I’ve decided to think more in terms of That could be me. Look forward rather than backward. Now I’m taking action. That means I have a lot of irons in the fire. I’m working on several projects. I know that soon the idea that could be me will turn into a proud Yep, that was me. I did that.
I’d write more, but all those projects are calling me right now. I’ll catch you next week. Meanwhile, I hope you’re taking action on your ideas and dreams. I’d love to hear about it.
