Some Things are Worth the Wait
This week my day lilies blossomed. I think I appreciate them so much more because day after day after day I would get up in the morning, go out back to see if they’d opened yet . . . but they hadn’t. So when they did show their beautiful orange blooms this week, it was extra special.
How many experiences in life are like that? How many times do we enjoy something more because we had to wait for it? In quiet anticipation. With patience. And hope. May we all grow in patience and appreciation of all the good that is yet to come. That’s my prayer today.
Meanwhile, if you’re anywhere near Moscow, Idaho on Saturday, come join me for a book signing and a Huckleberry Mojito. Would love to see you!
