Hey there!
I’m on a mission to help people who struggle to find or recover their passion, to know their purpose and to live fully. I know something about that because a few years ago life threw me enough curve balls that I started to question everything I believed. By learning to listen to my inner voice, I found the courage to dream and to take action.
These days I do my dreaming from Spokane Valley, Washington where I live with the new love of my life — Ray. He is introducing me to the world of vintage cars, rat rods and hot rods. I’m learning a lot — like to not tell a guy his car is cute. No, the proper term is badass. I also play around with the idea of gardening. Though I’m still not good at it, my dream is to have a lovely yard filled with flowers, including colorful trailing vines of sweet peas.
While my gardening skills are lacking, I can proudly say that my passion is intact. I recovered it when I walked 251 miles on the Camino de Santiago (The Way of St. James). After David, my husband of 33 years passed away, I was looking for what to do with the rest of my life – what I found was a release of grief, forgiveness, self-discovery, love for myself, and bed bugs. Yes, bed bugs . . . you take the bad with the good, right? You can read about it in Keep Walking, Your Heart Will Catch Up.
So what is my passion? It’s writing life’s experiences and observations into relatable lessons for others. When I’m putting pen to paper — or watching a screen fill with words as I click on a keyboard — I gain clarity. They tell me what I didn’t even realize I was thinking, or knowing, or seeing. Writing refreshes me, inspires me.
I hope that my words will inspire you, too; that they will spark some ah-ha’s and oh yeah’s and nudge you to put action to your ideas. I pray that they will encourage you to break free from other people’s – and your own self-imposed – expectations. I pray that you will find your passion, uncover your purpose and live fully. Because after all, YOU can do anything, YOU’RE unstoppable…and YOU are amazing!
