Live Full. Die Empty
“Live full. Die empty” is a statement made by spiritual teacher Jack Boland. I have it written on a sticky note on my desk. As I looked at it this week, the thought occurred to me: Then why do I complain about having too much to do? Having a lot to do means I am living full. Right? A quick change of perspective!
So starting this week I make it a goal to not complain; but rather, to appreciate every project, every task, every activity in which I am involved. It is a sign of life. It reminds me that I still have a lot to share, a lot of living to do. I’m no where near empty, and for that I am grateful.
I suppose I could go on and on, but I don’t think there is a need. The message is complete, and I hope it is a message that you will take to heart, as well. Live full. Die empty.
