Gratitude, Truth and Mystery
A few weeks ago I heard someone share a personal manifesto. Sounded interesting, so I started on one of my own. Here are a few excerpts.
- Gratitude. I choose to live in gratitude. I believe gratitude begets a gracious life full of discovery and wellness.
- Truth. I believe truth in life is not always either/or, but sometimes is both/and. It’s like when the sun can shine and the clouds rain at the same time.
- Mystery. Mystery is inspiring; yet sometimes we strain to unravel it with a constant need to control, a need to know. Then poof! It disappears. Then we are left not knowing, not controlling and without even the hope of mystery. I want some mysteries to remain untouched.
- Doors. I like doors. I like the wonder of where they might lead.
How about you? What moves you? Inspires you? Causes you to pause and think? Feel free to respond in the comments section.
It is a strange thought, and sounds a bit out of sort but as I am surrounded by so many things coming at me, and even when I fall on hard times, I don’t know why, but it somehow inspires me to stop, and think of good things possible, and what things “could” come my way. I ant explain it; it’s hard to put into words. Maybe I become “driven” or just stopping , and taking the time to contemplate, and think gives me positive and faith, and hope.
I don’t think this is “a bit out of sort.” What a wonderful way to treat hard times. I like the way it invites and welcomes good things to come your way. Thanks for sharing.
