About my Carlos Santana Boots
We went out to dinner last week and a friend commented that she likes my boots. I shared that these boots were designed by Carlos Santana. I bought them when I moved from Los Angeles to rural Indiana. I like the look of them, just as much as I like the idea that they were designed by a legendary guitarist. Great musician and women’s shoe designer, too? Who knew?
I feel proud to wear the boots. They make me want to strut, to get my moves on as my friend Laura likes to say, especially when Oye Como Va plays over the airwaves. Maybe that’s the intention of the design. I read on the Carlos Shoes website that the shoes are “designed for women who are self-aware, self-confident, and know how to embrace their individuality and have fun.” Maybe I should get another pair or two.
Wearing Santana-designed shoes reminds me that we are all gifted with many talents and abilities, passions and desires. We are rich with potential . . . in more than just one area, I think. Too often we short-change ourselves by staying in just one lane. Let’s explore more of our talents in 2024 and widen this highway a bit. There are so many possibilities ahead!
