I’m Taking a Break
I’m writing today to say I’ve got nothing to say today. Yep, after posting consistently for the past three years, I’m taking a break from my blog.
I’ve been remembering the workshop I enjoy teaching about how to run effective meetings. The first rule is that if you don’t need a meeting, don’t have one. Pretty simple, eh? Yet we do it all the time. There’s nothing pressing, but we forge ahead and drag all our team into a meeting and waste an hour. It occurs to me that I’ve begun to do the same with my weekly blog. I don’t necessarily have anything pressing on my heart to write, but I feel compelled to put something in print each week. It’s not generally my best work. So I’m taking a break from blogging for the next month or so.
I’m not going away. You’ll still hear from me, just maybe not weekly. I’ll be considering what to blog while also working on my current projects:
- My next book, Dance in the Meadow: Conversations of Self-Discovery, Clarity and Love, will come out on Amazon June 5. I’ll let you know about that in more detail very soon.
- I’m revising an online course I look forward to sharing with you this summer. It’s called “Get Real. Moving from Illusion to Reality.”
- I’m working on a screenplay. That’s new and it’s a stretch for me. I feel confident that my book Keep Walking, Your Heart Will Catch Up will make a good movie, so I’m writing it as a screenplay. Do you know a Hollywood agent or producer you can put me in contact with?
- And speaking of Keep Walking . . ., I’m available to speak to groups about my Camino de Santiago experience of re-discovering myself; and more so, about how they can also connect or reconnect with their purpose and passion in life. Let me know if you’re interested.
So for now, I hope you’re finding joy and energy in working on projects close to your heart, and that you’re taking the breaks and time you need to refresh and take care of yourself. I’ll be in touch soon.
